During my internship in Psychiatry in Brazil, I had a very concerning and life-changing experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health institution. Most of the patients were involved in violent activities. Drug dealing, violent crimes, and gang involvement were common. However, a question came to my mind: how does violence affect mental health, and how can mental health disorders influence violence?

For this task, I would prefer to collaborate with mental health professionals who have experience in research. The main goal is to produce an article discussing the bidirectional relationship between mental health and violence, how criminal gangs exploit the vulnerability of patients in Brazil, and how mental health workers can provide effective support in such cases.
